Indications 
No other facial feature says more about us than our eyes. Patients frequently complain that their eyes make them look tired or angry or simply too old. Blepharoplasty surgery rejuvenates the eyes by removing excess skin and fat, or "bags", of the eyelids. This procedure is often coupled with Face Lift, Brow Lift, and Laser Surgery.

Goals
The goal of Blepharoplasty surgery is to remove excess eyelid skin and fat to "open up" the eyes and restore your bright, vibrant and youthful appearance.

Where Does the Surgery Take Place?
Dr. Corbett performs this procedure in the Hospital Operating room.

Anesthesia
IV Sedation is sufficient for this surgery in some cases, in other General Anesthesia is preferable. This will be discussed at your consultation.

Surgery Time
Blepharoplasty Surgery takes 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours.

Hospital Stay
This Surgery is done on an outpatient basis.

Recovery
Most patients are back to their normal routine within 5 to 7 days. As with most facial surgery, post operative swelling and bruising are to be expected. Specifics will be discussed at the time of your consultation.

Follow-Up
After surgery you should plan on at least 2 to 4 follow-up visits though each case is individualized to address your needs.

Complications
As with any surgical procedure, complications can occur and are best discussed at the time of your consultation. It is essential that patients be aware of potential complications before undergoing this or any surgical procedure.

Fees
Costs range from $3,050.00 to $4,600.00. The wide range in cost is due to pricing for upper or lower lids versus all 4 lids. This pricing includes Hospital Costs, Anesthesia Fees, and Surgeon's Fee. There is no charge for the consultation.
