Indications 
Laser resurfacing is used to improve the surface qualities of the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles, pigment, pore size and skin texture can all be improved with laser resurfacing. Acne scars are also able to be treated as well. The entire face can be treated or specific areas such as around the eyes or around the mouth can be addressed individually.

Where is the prodecure done?
Laser resurfacing can be done either as an office procedure or in an surgery center. The setting is dependent upon the size of the area to be treated and the type of anesthesia required.

Procedure Time
These procedures typically are short taking between 15 to 30 minutes.

Recovery
Depending on the type of laser used, recovery can be minimal or can be as long as 10 to 14 days. The laser type dictates the amount of recovery involved.

Follow Up
Follow up visits are based on need. The more areas treated and the stronger lasers require more visits.

Fees
Fees vary by the type of laser used, the number of areas treated, the location the procedure is performed, and the type of anesthesia.
